Half an hour ago, I arrived at nursery to pick up Adam.


As usual, he ran over to the gate, wreathed in smiles and delighted to see me.


But today, he stopped, looked up at me and said,


“Hurro!  M-m-m-m-my.”


This is the first time he has made any effort to say my name.


Ever.
